Teach With Us
If you’re passionate about your job or business, have a skill or hobby that others find fascinating, or simply want to share your unique talents with others (and get paid $40 an hour to do it) … then you just may be what we’re looking for!
LIbrary Workshop Instructors are paid $40 an hour and can work at any partnered public library. We even offer Adult Educator group training sessions to help get you started.
TEACH WITH US
No degree required, no teaching experience needed!
Our workshops are created and taught by community members, regular people just like you and me. You don’t need a teaching degree, nor any traditional teaching experience or training. We’re simply looking for passionate people who love what they do. We need jewelry makers, fisherman, painters, sketch artists, cookie decorators, social media experts, vacation packers, animal trainers, sculptors, musicians, website designers, writers, photographers and more.
If you’ve got a verifiable skill, can create an engaging one or two-hour presentation, provide a written syllabus and a 300 description (to help us market your class) then you might just be able to teach with us.
Our Goals, Your Future
We’re looking to change the face of community education and we need your help. We’re searching for passionate and talented educators who want to make a real difference in their community … and be paid a fair price for doing it.
Great Pay, No Stress
All of our instructors (no matter their experience level, workshop subject matter or even the number of registered participants) make $40 an hour when teaching at a partnered library. All workshops are held on-location at the requesting library facility.
Teach What You Love
This is community education. We’re not looking for something you can find at a college or university, we’re looking for fun, exciting and straight-to-the-point workshops … based on what you do, what you love and what you want to share.
Set Your Own Hours
At the library you’re free to set your own hours. You can choose to work in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, during the week or even weekends. Most libraries are open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Go ahead, make your own schedule.
No Degree Required
We’re not looking for academics (though we wont’ turn them down). We’re looking for people who have real-world experience, who know and love what they do and can teach their skills and passions in an articulate way. No degree (or teaching experienced) is required.
Support and Training
We know that setting up and teaching your own class can be tough, so we’re here for you. We’ll help you create a working syllabus, critique your classes, offer guidance and support. We’ll even help with creating marketing material, promotional items and more. When you succeed, Library Workshops succeeds.
